Lovely day for a run

Ok, it’s winter. It’s colder, darker, wetter, and some days motivation is harder to dig up.

But there’s something I try to remember before one of these winter runs—something that always happens.

Once you get some layers on and kick yourself out the door, something shifts. The cold on your skin jolts you. The rain hits your face, alerting your senses. And your brain slows its typical to-do lists because your body is saying, it’s time to be alive.

We’ve been more aware of this sensation lately, and instead of pretending it’s all sunshine and PRs out there, we wanted to make a video that captures some of that winter runner’s mindset.

This ain’t another rise and grind video. It’s a reminder that we don’t have to take every run seriously. Getting out there—even for a shorty when it’s dumping rain or below zero—is worthwhile. Because once you’re out there moving, things can start to feel pretty damn good.

I hope you enjoy the video and that it reminds you it’s always a lovely day for a run.
